Sopore, Jul 02 (KNO): Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Sopore, S.A. Raina on Wednesday said that there are no planned restrictions on Muharram processions in the Sopore sub-division, adding, they are committed to zero lapses. Briefing the media about the arrangements ahead of the religious observances, the ADC, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said, “As of now, there are no restrictions in place. If any input arises, the matter will be reviewed accordingly, but processions will go on as usual.” He said that all concerned departments have been directed to facilitate residents during the days of mourning. Water supply and electricity were the major concerns raised by community representatives during the early interaction. In response, the ADC assured that water tankers will be kept on standby and electricity supply has already been improved in the area. “We have instructed all departments to remain on alert and ensure that no shortcomings occur. Improved facilities and coordination are in place to support the community during Muharram,” the ADC stated. Earlier, the ADC chaired a meeting with representatives from various line departments and local community leaders to ensure smooth conduct of Muharram-related activities. The meeting covered detailed arrangements for areas including Saidpora, Bohripora, Hygam and Bulgam—(KNO)
